Other details :  This book comprises the proceedings of a conference held on 'Voice in British Actor Training - The Moment of Speech' on 4 November 2000, chaired by David Carey and attended by 40 delegates. The speakers were: Professor Sally Grace, The Central School of Speech and Drama; Joe Windley, Head of Voice, Guildford School of Acting; Lise Olsen, Voice Teacher, Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts; and Stewart Pearce, Master of Voice, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. By 31 December 78 copies of the book had been distributed, primarily to conference delegates and to other drama colleges. However, a further distribution to appropriate university drama departments is planned.

The speakers were: Patsy Rodenburg, Head of Voice, Royal National Theatre; Mary Hammond, Professor of Musical Theatre Studies, Royal School of Music; Andrew Wade, Head of Voice, Royal Shakespeare Company; Joan Mills, Voice Director, Centre for Performance Research, Wales; and Jean Moore, Head of Voice, Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. By 31 December 51 copies of the book had been distributed, primarily to conference delegates and to other drama colleges. However, a further distribution to appropriate university drama departments is planned. Books are on sale at Blackwells and Gardiners bookshops.
