RA6a: Additional observations, Evidence of esteem

Considerable evidence of national and international esteem is detailed at various points in RA5. In addition, the following should be noted:

· Booth gave a lecture on colour in art to the International Association of Colour in London in 1996;

· Hannah (see para. 8.2) established the Cakes and Ale Press. He won a BAFTA award in April 2000 for the design of an animated film entitled `The Man with the Beautiful Eyes` made for Channel Four;

· Smith is the Moving Image Director of New Directions in London. His work is included in the current exhibition `I am a Camera` at The Saatchi Gallery in London and in the accompanying publication by Booth-Clibborn, 2001, and `Material Man, Masculinity, Sexuality, Style` published by Abrams, 2000. In 2000 he held solo exhibitions at Enders Projects, Frankfurt, Germany, Robert Sandelson, Cork Street, London, Scott Nichols, San Francisco, Kunstlerhaus Palais Thurn and Taxis, Bregenz, Austria and Studio d`Arte Raffaelli, Italy. He designed the CD cover for Robbie Williams’ `Sing When You`re Winning` which was voted one of the top fifty album covers of the Millenium in Summer 2000;

· Syed was invited to chair the artist presentations at the Trondheim Art Academy in Norway in1999 and gave a paper entitled `On Reflection, Gravity and the Act of Joining` in 1999 at Central St Martins. She then answered questions in discussion with Paul Virilio, Jean Baudrillard, Homi Bhaba and Krishnamurti;

· Salisbury writes regular articles for the magazine `Artists and Illustrators`and continues to illustrate for publishers, designers and television companies.
