Professor Bruce Brown

Biography

Professor Bruce Brown is the University of Brighton's Director of Research Development and for nineteen years before that was Dean of its Faculty of Arts and Architecture. He has fulfilled roles on national and international bodies that have included the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Arts Council England (South East), the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. Currently he is Director of the Higher Education Academy's Subject Centre for art, design and media. He has lectured widely on his research concerning Graphic Memory at conferences in, for example, the UK, USA, Estonia, Portugal, Norway, Canada, Japan, Korea and Germany. He has been a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts since 1971 and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Art.
